What are the disadvantages and advantages in the life on the farm?

1. Reward of putting yourself into nature
2. The stars in the sky
3. Being away from urban sprall
4. Learning self sufficiency
5. Sense of community (if your from the outside this may take some time)
6. Less sedentary life style
Some Disadvantages
1. You must be organized for any type of shopping (3 trips to town in one day could take up to one and a half hours or more per trip)
2. Creature comfort services are more costly and harder to obtain
3. Closed communities with a high level of knowledge about you (e.g. Miranda Lambert “every one dies famous in a small town”)
4. If the farm is active and not a hobby farm it takes ALOT of work
5. Commute to work (Most farms have at least one outside income)
6. Emergency services can be harder to obtain and take longer to receive
farm life requires self sufficiency (being able to create your own goods without requiring trade)
disadvantage:
self-sufficiency can sometime have a higher opportunity cost because the are some goods or services that one can not create like electricity or heavy duty appliances. therefore more is spent to obtain the items
*people who live on farms do not have less communication skills than others I GREW UP ON A FARM

less population
always in the hands of mother nature
healthy life

no social life
poor communication skills
