The Hopewell Indian culture had large villages in Southern Ohio. While most languages spoken by aboriginal natives in north America were distinctly different, many of them were based in the Alapascan dialect. I know of no websites to refer you to, but I am a serious searcher of the social structures of the hundreds of tribes inhabiting the north American continent before it was invaded by europeans. Which many of us understand were the demise of most of the aboriginal tribes in this country. I have a few Hopewell tribal artifacts I found while walking the smaller creeks in southern Ohio, and they are very precious to me. I’m sorry I can’t help you anymore. Good luck.
