ok, if you want to build a site you 1st have to know your REASONS why do you want to have one.
for money? for fun? for sharing? for your daily journal?
i am not sure what are your intentions but if you are only starting how about having your own personal page first? your biography, family pictures, daily activities, your comments on movies you watched or books you have red.
then ask your family or friends to what they think about it.
