Going east, you’ll typically lose time. If you were to teleport instantly from California to New York, for instance, if you left at 12:00 in California you’d arrive at 3:00 in New York.

However, in moving from India to the US, you’re going to cross the International Date Line. So, depending on where you go to, you’ll lose roughly 8 hours, but you’ll find yourself in yesterday.

For what it’s worth, the one time I made a trip like that, it took so long that the time I lost/gained really made no difference at all. Jet lag more than compensates.

You will not lose or gain any time at all, but the time zone you are in will change, and so the clocks will be out of sync from what you are used to. A hour is still exactly one hour long though.

Your day will start way before those in the US. But, there will be no gain of time. Time is just a way of measuring our world.

Do not afraid that you will loose your time if you visit India from US. India is a well planned nation. You can visit India whenever you wish. Thanks.

You will gain because your day will start too early. So, go ahead 😉
