Conflict: Mayella Ewell, a 19-year-old white who cames from a bad family, accused a black man, Tom Robinson, of raping her. Atticus, a lawyer, is assigned to defend him. The town goes through many changes.
Climax: I think the climax is actually the trial, and possibly the last scene, where the two children, Jem and Scout, get attacked by a drunk Bob Ewell.
Theme: The destroying of innocence or a more specific theme, racism.
Exposition? Inciting incident? I don’t get you. o.O
Inciting Incident: A young white(Jean?) women claims to have been raped by a black man (Tom).
Conflict: A white lawyer (Adtikis) defends the black man although many know that he is innocent. The time set was one of high racial devide. A crowd even went to the jail to pull the man out and kill him. The conflict were numerous but these are the two main ones.
Climax: After the trial the man was killed while supposedly attempting to escape. 2nd: Scout and Jim were on the way back from Scout’s play at the school when they were attacked and the strange neighbor ( Boo Radley) saved them. The real attacker was the father of the girl who accuesed Tom of raping her.
Theme: Fairness and the looking beyond racial and economic lines.
