what would five over three times eleven over three equal?
and how would you figure it out? plz explain I need help.

(5/3) * (11/3) = 55/9 = 6 and 1/9
You multiply the numerators (numbers on top) and that is the numerator of the answer and you multiply the denominators (numbers on bottom) to get the denominator of the answer.
So 5 * 11 = 55 (numerator)
and 3 * 3 = 9 (denominator)
Sometimes you can simplify the fraction, but for this problem you can’t. You can simplify when both the numerator and denominator can be divided evenly by the same number. For example, 22/4, both the numerator and denominator can be divided by 2, so the simplified fraction would be 11/2.
