Calculate ln3 in your calculator and you will get 1.098612289 (don’t round off now because this is the value for x and going back to the expression x=2k, k will be half of x which gives 0.549306 Finally, rounding off to 10,000th you will get 0.5493 as your answer.

Then its 2k = ln3

Now just divide through by 2

lne^2k=ln3

2klne=ln3

2k=ln3(because lne=1)

k=(ln3)/2
