[ (x^(2/3) y^(-3/4) ]^(12/3)
= [ (x^(2/3) y^(-3/4) ]^4
= x^(4*2/3) y^[4*(-3)/4]
= x^(8/3) y^(-3)
or x^(8/3) / y^3.
