Ever done something on water rockets?

You could vary the amount of water in the rocket to find the optimum amount of air/water as too much water would mean the air couldn’t push it out and too little means the air has nothing to push out.

Could also use different nozzles etc.

Test how many people can solve different types of brain teasers?

There are verbal – ie: On a farm, there are fifty dogs, twenty ate chickens. How many didn’t?

People hear a list: 50 dogs, 28 chickens…. How many did what?????

There are visual: Those 3D thingies, how many see up and how many see down kinda stuff.

There are applications – Move stuff to make something else:

I.E. You have six toothpicks the same size make 4 triangles of the same size (most peeps won’t see 3d an make a tetrahedral.)

There are semantics – take three lines and make four. (see http://youtube.com/watch?v=eFjxOyVS22U)

Now come up with at least three brain teasers for several mental learning methods: Visual, Verbal, Practical, Semantic, etc… Test one people young and old, different sexes, different walks of life, etc…

Make chart graphs comparing your results. Make some conclusion – maybe you can bring a break through about in teaching/learning styles.

Here’s how to make it entertaining – quiz those who come up to your booth. Have the charts on a board that you can stick pins in. Show where each person you tested w/in the science project fair measured in the charts from your previous testing. Explain what the significance is.

Do a write up of how this affects our society (i.e. learning, common sense, voting behavior, etc…)
