1. you can make it into two seperate equations.

1a. 3+x is less than 4. Subtract 3 from both sides. x is less than 1.

1b. 3+x is greater than or equal to -6. subtract 3 from both sides. x is equal to or greater than or equal to -9.

1c. (answer) Which means x is equal to or greater than -9 but less than 1.

2. 3√2+√50 is equal to? Reduce the square root of 50 to the square root of 25 multiplied by the square root of 2. Notice that the square root of 25 is equal to 5.

2a. Now you have, 3√2+ 5√2. This equation can just be added together.

2b. (answer) 8√2

3. Sorry, not real sure how to do that if it is a root of 2. You might want to do that one on a calculator, because it is multiplication, not addition.

4. √x+5=8 The first thing you want to do, is to isolate the variable along with the square root.

4a. subtract 5 from both sides

4b. √x=3

4c. square both sides, it cancels out the square root

4d. (answer) x=9

Thanks, I hope you like my answer!

1. x = anywhere from -8 to 0

2. 50

5 10

5 2

thus the square root of 50 is 5 square root 2

3 square root 2 + 5 square root 2 = 8 square root 2

i dont remember how to do either of the last two.
