Your experiment would be to monitor different animals to see if they did sleep and note the times they did sleep.
2) Fewer dogs chase cars than in the past.
Interview old timers and ask if they remember it and if they have seen one lately. Your conclusion will be that that gene pool died off, trampled under tires.
3) The wind blows.
Make a film of ribbons flowing for no other apparent reason. Also use a wind speed indicator to measure wind speed.
4) Bust the myth of a cat landing on it’s feet and buttered toast always landing butter side down. Experiment- strap a piece of buttered toast to a cat and drop it, back first. ( not too high..don’t hurt kitty.)
5) The sun does not go down or come up.
Truth in fact, is that the horizon moves up or down, giving the illusion of the sun rising and setting. Use balls suspended on a mobile or a model of the solar system to show this.
Even though this is correct, people still talk about the sun going down and coming up as a point of language. Now you can show they are ” confussed”! ha! Good luck!
