Its a line segment you have PointA and the midpoint point how do you find Point B.

A is at (4,8) midpoint(K) is at (6,11) on segment AB.

just see the distance between AK so like the X in A and K are 4 and 6 the distance is 2. then do the same for the Y. 8 to 11 is 3.

if that makes sense

then for point B just add another 2 to the X and 3 to the Y and get (8,14)

it works like that because AK is congruent to KB

theres my 2 cents

find the distance between point A and point B and once you find it then add the # you just found to point B and youll find point C.

for example if point A was at -3 and point B was at 0 then point c will be at 3.

the midpoint is at the half length point so double it and you have your second point.

what is the distance between pt a and the mid pt? go that # from the mid pt

ex:

A MP B

______________________________

0 10 ?

so there are 10 pts between A and the mid pt, so B would be 20
