rotation speed of 42 degrees lattitude?

for a school extracredit assignment i need to know the rotation speed of 42 degrees lattitude. did i get the right answer? i need to make sure its right before i pass it in.

heres my work

47 / 90 = .522 (repeating) = percentage of 42 degrees lattitude

12,742 km (earth’s diameter on equator) * .522 (repeating) = 42 degrees lattitude’s diameter = 6654.155 (repeating)

6654.155 (repeating) * pi = 20904.646209177042621011967705757 = circumference of 42 degrees lattitude

20904.646209177042621011967705757 circumference / 24 (hours) =

871.02692538237677587549865440654 km/hr

is this correct? if it isnt, please do not tell me the answer

I see a math problem and a mistake, even though you’ve far more digits on your calculator than I have on mine.

What is the calculation to get 47?

The ratio isnt right. Sounds like a trick, cos its not a straight line from the pole to the equator.
