I think if you like video games, you’ll probably hav heard of the Atari – which was the first really popular console player.

I think the timeline goes something like this…

Atari

Sega Genesis

Sega Saturn/ Sony Playstation

Game Cube

etc., etc.,

I’m sure if you look up Atari and video games you can get a good history on Google.

You could do the first Technology of video games, starting from Pong, Atari, Nintendo, etc and talk about the technical changes they went through.

-Memory/bit increasing over systems

-game play (RPG, shooter etc) through the systems

-different stories behind major games on the consoles

-transitioning games from Japan to US (For your info: mario From Super Mario wasn’t originally named that in Japan)

-wires/wireless systems

-from tv consoles to portables. You could discuss the little used Virtual boy and it’s predecessor the Game Boy
