Saturday I watched a movie from 1946 “My Darling Clementine” with Henry Fonda as Wyatt Earp. It was interesting to contrast this movie with two fairly current versions. “Wyatt Earp” with Kevin Costner. and “Tombstone”
starring Kurt Russell.
All three have some basis in true history. But they are all mostly myth and are entirely different.
Wyatt Earp was alive until 1929 and the true facts should be available. Maybe true history is sometimes not as enter-taining to us as Hollywood or dime novels would have it.
Does it all eventually blur together?
