300 sat on the chairs. (600/2=300)

200 sat on the floor. (600/3)=200)

100 sat on the desks. (600-300-200=100)

600 people

half of 600 = 300

a third of 600 = 600 /3 = 200

people sitting on the floor = 600 – 300 – 200 = 100

A.) 200 people sat on the floor

B.) 300 people sat on desks

C,) 100 people sat on chairs

600/2=300

300/3=100

300+100=400,in total there should be 600 people,so 400+200=600,the rest is 200.

300-sat in chair

100-sat on the floor

200-sat on the desk.

600 people in class

300 on chairs

200 on the floor

600 – 300 – 200 = 100 on desks

Or am I missing something? Is this a trick question?
