Ratifying the Constitution…..essay plz help?
What were the major arguments used by each side (the supporters and the opponents) in the debates over the ratification of the U.S Constitution?
I already have that the supporters were called federalists, and that they wanted a strong national government, and that the opposers were called the anti-federalists, and that they were afraid of strong national government would weaken powers of the states governments and take away the rights of the people. Any other infromation is greatly appreciated, thankyou for your help ๐ ๐

The Federalists:
Favored ratification of the Constitution
Favored a strong central government
Argued that a Bill of Rights was not needed as federal power was limited
The Federalist Papers
The Anti-Federalists:
Opposed ratification of the Constitution
Wanted a weak federal government that would not threaten states rights
Wanted a Bill of Rights to declare and to protect the rights of the people
Ratification:
Federalists promise addition of a Bill of Rights
Ratification succeeded, new government formed 1789

For example by the constitution if you are born in the USA you are automatically a citizen. Yet our forefathers did not know that in 2007 9.3 of all births were to illegal aliens.
