Was tobacco, like one of the others said. NOT crops though. crops were only susteniance during this time period. ONLY tobacco. Cotton was not economically profitable untill Eli Whitney’s invention of the cotton gin in the early 1800’s. So the first answer is ONLY TOBACCO. NOTHING ELSE!!!!
