Problem with acceptable answers for science?

I can’t figure out which answers are correct. Can someone help me?

By default, the numerical entry is scored as correct if it is within 1% of the correct answer. A rule of thumb is always to enter at least 3 digits for numerical questions.

If the correct answer is 7.83309, which of the following entries would be counted as correct? (there can be more than one)

7.763

7.83

8.00

7.7

7.9036

7.6686

If anyone can explain the “within 1% of the correct answer,” that would do as well. Thanks

Well, take 1% of the correct answer (7.83309).

.01 x 7.83309 = .0783309

Then add and subtract that from 7.83309, and you get an interval from 7.7547591 to 7.9114209. So any answer in that interval is within 1% of the correct answer.

That means 7.763, 7.83, and 7.9036 would be considered correct. Hope that helped.
