Probably a simple geomtry question.?

1. Every isosceles triangle has at least one line of symmetry.

true. The angle between the two equal sides can be bisected making two equal angles. The two triangles formed will then have two angles and the included side (SAS) congruent, and so will be congruent but mirror images of each other making the angle bisector the line of symmetry.
