Pre Med Questions, Plz help,… I’m trying to get into college, theres no one to help.?
I have a list of schools and I was wondering if you could give me a response on each? Are they good? do they have a premed program and a Med? Best Background/good/poor when looking for a job. Any information would be great. I live in PA and I want to be a Doctor (Internist)

There are only 4 states that do not have medical schools associated with their state university system. You best option is to attend your state university and then its medical school. The reasons for this are: 1) The laws related to the funding the school receives require preference be given to state residents (approximately 70% of matriculants are state residents) and 2) state residents pay a lower tuition.

Any school you apply for is going to have a “pre-med” program. Basically, you need to take science and math. The breakdown for course reqs is ususally something like
8 hrs Biology w/ lab
8 hrs Chemistry w/ lab
8 hrs Physics w/ lab
Calculus
Histology, Immunology…etc
Once you’ve taken those courses, you can major in pretty much anything you want.
