you just have to be able to see both the tiny, individual details and the ‘big picture’ all at the same time to be a good photographer. it’s a tough skill to develop. Just try looking for things that strike you as being different or beautiful. Notice the lighting, or look for patterns. The best thing to do to prep for a photography class is to go and take pictures of something that interests you.
