I apologize for the misunderstanding. I was nervous and excited about the interview; therefore, I did not speak clearly. I have been informed Mr. Donovan by e-mail that he misunderstood me about my education background. I have my BA of Arts in Political Science and minor in Geography. I completed my undergraduate degree in 3 years. I had a great opportunity to intern at the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington D.C. while I was doing my undergraduate degree (May-Aug 2005). The internship opportunity inspired me to pursue my career in Public Sectors; therefore, I am pursuing my Master of Public Administration.

I was a small town girl from Thailand. One of my dreams was to explore and learn about other cultures. I became an exchange student from Thailand to the United States at age 17. Fortunately, my university offered me for tuition waivers until I completed my BA degree.

As for my undergraduate degree, I was very much enjoying my learning experience in a predominately Caucasian, conservative, rural setting. Though I have been very fascinated about other cultures, I have not yet been to a place where there are many Afro-American cultures. I looked online for some universities that would offer me the great opportunity and I found Bowie State University to be at the top of my list.

When I received a letter informing me that I had been accepted to BSU as a graduate student and Graduate Assistant, I had just started working full-time as an instructor assistant at Montebello Elementary School in Baltimore. It was a challenge to have to choose between the two very great opportunities. I chose Bowie State University because Bowie State communities welcome me with open arms. Even though I am a graduate student of Asian descent, I felt at home while I was at Bowie State University.
