Why not write about someone that writes in to answers to get someone else to write their story for them. Sounds like a friendly alien to me.

Or think like ‘Mars Attacks’=
Aliens come to kill everyone, but a kid and his grandma save the world.
Or think like a cartoon character, some whacky weird alien comes and the kids try to figure out how to talk to it…
