i need some help with a few questions……they’re easy and i did them, but my teachers says my answers are wrong!
here are the questions:
-(2/3)x<6 x^2=4x (x+5)(x-3)=9 16/(x^2+4x) - 4/x = x/(x+4)

a) -(2/3)x < 6 multiply by 3 -2x < 6 divide by -2 x < -3 b) x^2 = 4x x^2 - 4x = 0 x(x-4) = 0 x = 0 x - 4 = 0 so x = 4 c) (x+5)(x-3)=9 open up x^2 - 3x+5x -15 = 9 x^2+2x-15-9=0 x^2+2x-24=0 (x+6)(x-4)=0 x + 6 = 0 so x = -6 or x-4 = 0 so x = 4 d) 16/(x^2+4x) - 4/x = x/(x/4) 16/x(x+4) - 4/x = 4x/x 16/x(x+4) - 4/x = 4 common denominator (16-4(x+4))/x(x+4) = 4 16-4(x+4) = 4x(x+4) 16-4x-16=4x^2+16x 4x^2+20x=0 divide by 4 x^2+5x=0 x(x+5)=0 x = 0 or x+5 = 0 so x=-5 hope it helps...what did u do?
