common errors: I expected getting (to get) the job in Los Angeles. I usually have good luck to find (finding) employment.

I had never heard of the word gerund before so I looked it up in my dictionary. It says that a gerund is a noun formed from a verb, describing an action. i.e. smoking, running,

RUNNING is not allowed in the hallways. (subject?)
