heres a definition–copying someone else’s phrase and not giving credit to them. When you plaigiarize, you take someone else’s credit, and dont do the work yourself. for example-you are writing a paragraph on Kenya-you look at the internet, and copy word for word on your paper. Plaigiarism can B in both paper and in words In other words, you just copy and pasted on you own work.

ps-dont try 2 plagiarize this one-lol

It’s when you reproduce another persons words and claiming it as your own. Basically, if you don’t cite the work you used to get your information, it is plagiarism. Even if you did not purposely plagiarize someones work, if you don’t cite the source, that counts as plagiarism.

Plagiarism is a form of “copyright” of someone elses written work. Usually plagiarists will copy word for word written work that someone else has written or it could just be short paragraphs of work that is copied. Essentially, Plagiarism is written work relabelled into the plagiarist’s name.

1. the unauthorized use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author and the representation of them as one’s own original work.

2. something used and represented in this manner.

3. a piece of writing that has been copied from someone else and is presented as being your own work

4. the act of plagiarizing; taking someone’s words or ideas as if they were your own

Amazing how many people fell for THIS one! LOL

Of course the SMART people up here aren’t going to write your paragraph for you so that you can steal (plagiarize) it!

We won’t discuss the OTHERS.

I suggest you try to do it yourself. Obviously your teacher is trying to make you understand that it is wrong. You also learn very little plagiarizing. Maybe you want a career saying, “You want fries with that?”

Reproduction without knowledgement of another person’s words, work or thoughts (including a fellow student’s) from any source consitutes plagiarism.

The definition of words, works and thoughts includes such representation as diagrams, text, pictures, drawings, and other expressions of ideas.

Good Luck! =D

If I give you the answer and you turn it in as your own work, that’s plagiarism…nice try.
