Men are still making more money and have more opportunities than women, although the division is decreasing.

For both parties, conflicting ideas on who or what each should be leads to strengths and weaknesses for each. Men are now raised to be sensitive and in touch with their emotions, while the idea of a perfect man is still embodied by the ‘tough-guy’ persona. Women are conflicted between career and home…today, women must do both. This leads to conflict over whether or not they’re neglecting their family as well as whether or not they’re failing in the eyes of society, namely in their careers.

Apparently, the individual seems to think that society expects them to be perfect. This is ironic because that same society is made up of individuals facing the exact same conflict.
