Negative exponents?
Math homework continues to be the bane of my existence.
Well, as if fractional exponents weren’t bad enough, there are now negatives as well. How would I solve a problem like:
-(9)^(-1/3)
I know it’s going to seem insanely easy as soon as I figure it out… Any help?

A negative exponent indicates a reciprocal. x^(-1) = 1/x. In your example, -(9)^(-1/3) = -1/(9^1/3).
