Measuring Homework???

i’m supposed to “measure” the mass of a rock. there is no rock, just what you’re supposed to use. like, grams, or stuff like that. and it uses the metric system? and what tool you would use. so, here are the stuff i need to measure:

mass of a rock-

your body temperature-

volume of a plastic bag-

how much water a tablespoon holds-

how long between blinks of your eyes-

i don’t get the last one, what it means. i mean, i’m asian so even though english is my first language stuff like sayings or confusing words don’t make sense. if you can’t give me all the answers just one or two would be fine. oh, and hurry, cause this is due tomorrow.

just describe the means of determining the displacement volume of an irregular solid (I just gave it away with the phrase “Displacement volume”) and then the weight of the rock, from there it is simple math. Remember, Mass is weight per unit volume, which is expressed in Gm/cc.

Your body temperature is easily determined by use of a standard oral thermometer, the average is 98.6 farenheit. The fact that you are asian doesn’t impair your use of a search-engine I hope, it sure doesn’t seem to have done so for asian students I had as classmates. The blink of an eye can be looked-up on the web. The volume question is simply determining maximum capacity of the bag in CC’s, the tablespoon os a conversion word-problem, convert tablespoon to millilitres.

Blinking your eye would be measured in seconds

mass of a rock – pounds

body temp – degrees

volumn – liquid measurements (cups or ounces

water in a tablespoon – milimeters
