i need some help:?
i’ve a presention due for my psychology class. we drew disorders from a hat and lucky me picked “sexual masochism.” i know what it is, and i have to present it to the class without really sounding too offensive and cannot really make fun of it. i know it can be silly, but how do you make something like that silly?
any thoughts, advice, anything will help.

Remember to stress to the class that this is a serious disorder and though it may not be as popular as many of the other disorders, it is no less serious and no less life threatening to the person who has an extreme case. Then present it in a very factual manner where the students are allowed to see the tragedy of the disorder.

Get a whip.
Get some handcuffs
Get some rope
Have these items on display and then as serious as you can open your talk with hard, cold facts. Establish right up front that this is not a laughing matter.
Then explain it and close with a repeat of some really horrible facts.

just don’t think about silly or sally. all know it was there in the hat, n it was given by ur teacher, its not u who to be blamed or to be thought silly. do it in ur way. u’ll not mees it up. good luck.

you dont have to make it silly
you can make it serious and your class will know that it is just school work
still you can put in a casual inoffensive joke now and then
