Need help with Sociology paper!?
Problem is…I don’t know what to write for interpret or posed questions. It is an article with facts and figures and I really can’t figure out how to “interpret” it any other way than what is stated as fact!
Please Help!!!! It’s due on Tuesday

Interprete – read how they did the study – was it a small sample (10-15 people) and they generalized it to the whole world? then your interpretation might be that they didn’t have enough data to make such a big judgement.
the opposite is not true – if they looked at a huge population over a long period of time and they may make accurate recommendations from what they found.
Did they do the study on people who live in Alaska and say it might be true for people who live in Japan? maybe that wasn’t such an accurate interpretation. If the article was talking about people who live on earthquake fault line, it might be true.
Questions – think of what you would ask the researchers if you had them on the phone, or in the room…. why did they choose the area, or the people they did – especially if you think it would have helped get better results to ask someone else – or a bigger sample size.
think of follow up questions – maybe they should look at how this same thing occurs in older children, or older adults. what about a different climate.
I think you’ll be able to get a good paper out of this article…. good luck
