Need help with homework problem?

I need help graphing this equation.

I know you cannot graph it on here. But could someome please help me find the points to which I need to graph?

in other words your equation is = to… 2y= -3x-6…

(Just subtract the x to get it on one side, into y=mx+b format…)

Then divide by 2 to equal y=-3/2x-3

Your points are (0,-3) and m=-3/2

So, you take the point (0,-3) and graph it on your coordinate graph. You then do your slope and go across 2 and down 3… Hope this helps 🙂

I’m not sure of what level your doing this at, but the equation looks pretty simple. If you’re really stuck I’d suggest drawing a table… choose 3 values of X and put them in the table.. work out teh value of Y for each value of X using basic algebra

then plot the coordinates and draw the line!

eg… Y = 2x – 3

I’d make a table choosing x as 0, 2 and 4 which is good enough

Find Y values, eg when X = y… y = 2x – 3, = 2×4 – 3 = 8 -3.. = 5.. etc
