3(2x – 5) – multiply the 3 times everthing in parenthesis.

6x – 15 – this is it distributed

I will set it equal to zero & solve for x, just in case you need that, too.

6x – 15 = 0

6x – 15 + 15 = 0 + 15

6x = 15

6x/6 = 15/6

x = 15/6 = 2 3/6 = 2 1/2 or 2.5

The answer is 6x-15. You bring the 3 and multiply the 2x and the 5 as a function. Basically, 3 x 2x: 3 x 5. That would leave the fuction to be (6x-15).

6x-15

You distribute the 3 into the polynomial by multiplying it by the 2 and then the 5

what you do is distribute the 3 to the 2x and the -5

so

3 * 2x = 6 x

and

3 * -5 = -15

therfore the answer is

6x – 15

I believe you should be multiplying the 3 throughout the parenthetical.. so, 3*2x – 3*5 which would give you 6x – 15

3(2x-5)

The 3 outside the parenthesis means that you must multiply each character in the parenthesis by the number outside of it.

meaning 3 times 2x and 3 times -5

6x-15

6x-15 is your answer

3 times 2x is 6x

and -5 times 3 is -15

3times2=6 so 6X minus 3 times 5=15

So it would be 6X-15
