My homework asks, ” Do you think we can reason to improve the social world? Explain your answer” and I don’t understamd what it’s talking about. We’re learning about people like Thomas Hobbes and John Locke and stuff. But I really have no clue what the question means?

The question means: Can positive social changes can be made by thinking things through and talking things out or do we have to fight, demonstrate, or go to war to get changes made? Obviously the homework wants you to answer that we can reason things out, so if you want an A, take that point of view in your answer.

Then the best thing to do when you don’t understand the question is ask the teacher instead of looking for an answer.
