“Footers” are not the same as footnotes.

Footnotes are cited references or explanations of something mentioned in the body of the document. They are indicated by a superscript number. If you just put the information in as a footer, it will not follow if you repaginate the document.

1. In page layout view, click where you want to insert the note reference mark.

2. On the Insert menu, click Footnote.

3. Click Footnote or Endnote.

4. Under Numbering, click the option you want.

5. Click OK.

Word inserts the note number and places the insertion point next to the note number

6. Type the note text.

7. Scroll to your place in the document and continue typing.

When you get to a point in the document that you need to add a footnote to … from the word toolbar – selet Insert – select Reference – select Footnote – select OK … then it takes you to the bottom of the page, enter your reference footnote, when finished, click page up the page where you left off.

Email me at [email protected] if you have any other questions. Good luck!

Open Microsoft word, go to View. Click on Header and footer.

Easy. There you have

“Menu: View: Header and Footer”

Then type what you need and ready.
