100cm in 1m so 40cm is 4/10ths or 2/5ths of a metre.

Your actually not trying to hard tho.

How much do you multiply 10 people by to get 1000. Its 100 so multiply your vanilla by the same.

To be able to answer those questions you need a scale. I scoured the web and came across this website that might help you: http://lamar.colostate.edu/~hillger/common.html

I’d rather have you learn this stuff than give you the answers! Trust me, stick at it and you’ll get it.

I’ll help you with the first; you’ll need to visit that website.

According to the chart, the relationship between cm and m is: 100cm = 1 m.

That means you need 100 centimetres before you can jump to the next level, which is metres.

Take the number of centimetres given and divide by 100 cm.

40 cm / 100 cm = 0.4 m. That’s your answer; it’s 0.4 m or 2/5. You get 2/5 if you simplify the fraction 40/100.

It’s all about equivalents. For this question, you have to remember 100 cm = 1 m. From there you can divide to find the answers.

You know, this is a lot harder to explain over the internet than it would be in person!
