metric…can someone teach me the metric system?
When doing conversion factors….going from (oz, lb, ton) what values do I put in?
Someone also said that its supposed to be llbs, g, kg

Well like anything you can convert to lbs from kilograms, inches to centimeters, etc.
A good scientific calculator will let you do all of that easily. But you do need to understand the units of measurement you are dealing with in order to understand where you are going to. That is the most critical thing. Even when you have a calculator to do the arithmetic part of it. You still need that basic comprehension.

You might try a little book called Dradnats and the Metric Measurement Kids. It’s a fun way to learn metrics, includes a conversion chart and activities at the back. It was just published this month and is on Amazon. Dradnats is the American system of measurement, Standard, spelled backwards.
