Math question?

I have a bunch of problems like these to do, so can someone do it for me on paint the graphing part, upload it on photobucket, and show me? Thanks!

Graph the following equations on the same coordinate plane:

y = 2x – 1

y = -x + 2

I can describe what to do. The number at the end is where the graph crosses the y axis, so put a dot there (on -1 for your first one). The number in front of x is the slope, which you make into a fraction (2/1). This means up 2 and over to the right 1. So starting on -1 on the y=axis, go up 2 and over 1 and put a second dot. It will be at (1,1). Then from there go up 2 and over 1 and put a third dot, then from there up 2 over 1, etc until you get lots of dots in a line. Then connect the dots and label the line.

The second one starts at 2 on the y axis and slope = -1/1 so go DOWN 1 and over to the right 1 since it’s negative and keep doing that.

Just plug any number in for x, solve for y and get your solution sets. The slope of the graph is change y/change x.

1. y=2x-1:

x=1, y=1

x=2, y=3, etc.

plot these points on the graph.

slope is 2

Second problem works the same way.
