1/4 of (8×3). 8 x 3 = 24

1/4 of 24. 1/4 = .25

.25 x 24 = 6

1/5 of (35-15). 35-15 = 20

1/5 of 20. 1/5 = .20

.20 x 20 = 4

So…

8×3= 24… 1/4 x 24/1 = 24/4… simplify to 6/1 or just 6

35-15= 20… 1/5 x 20/1= 20/5… simplify to 4/1 or just 4

cut 4 and 24 4 * 1 is 4

and 4 * 6 is 24

5 into 1 is 5 and 5 into 4 is twenty hope this helps

then its finding a quarter of 24, so its 24 divided by 4 which = 6. and thats the answer, now try it with the next one.

1/5 (20)

1/5 * 20/1=4/1

=4
