Use a table of values to graph the equation.

Now use those as coordinates and graph..
For instance
(-2,-4)
(-1,-1)
(0,2)
(1,5)
(2,8)

give values for x
e.g. x= 1
x=2
x=3
etc.
evaluate those values of x into the equation
i.e. y=3(1)+2
y=3(2)+2
y=3(3)+2
etc.
plot those values into the graph and connect them with a straight line…
and you have the graph for the equation y=3x+2
So, assume x = 1…
y = 3*1+2 = 5
For x = 2,
y = 3*2+2 = 8
Just keep repeating until you have enough values for your table and graph.

you can use any numbers you want. but you should usually include at least one negative and maybe 0.
something like that. if X=-3
3 times -3 = -9+2 would be -7
