Linear Equations with 2 variables.?
Im a little confused on how exactly to do these. It’s been a while since did some and i really forgot. so if you can explain it with the steps in the process i would greatly appreciate it. Thank You.
Directions: Write each equation in standard form. Identify A,B, and C.
1.) 5y=2x+3
2.) 18y=24x-9
3.) (5x/2) = 3/4y=8

Standard form is Ax + By = C. You have to manipulate the equations to put them into this form.
1. 5y = 2x + 3 Subtract 2x from both sides.
-2x + 5y = 3 So, A = -2, B = 5, and C = 3
2. 18y = 24x – 9 Subtract 24 x from both sides.
-24x + 18y = -9 So, A = -24, B = 18, and C = -9
3. Did you copy this correctly? You have two equal signs and no operation sign.
