life of pi : further reading suggestions?
ive recently read life of pi and i want to include it in an independent study assignment i have been given in english class. my question is: can you guys suggest to me as many books as they can that have similar themes or just similar in any way.
im looking for a novel that is very character based, perferably in the first-person and the narrator being an adolescent. it should be a “self-serching” sort of book with perferably some adventure/survival based and as a bonus somehow critique the flaws in human nature.
this is probably a really vague question and i apologise! but im having trouble finding books to accompany life of pi in a final thesis later this year.
if you need additional details for what im looking for email me or just ask them in your answers ๐ thanks alot in advance!

Prep by Curtis Sittenfeld, I loved the book, its about an adolescent girl, who’s really in her head a lot and its painfully reall and accurate. The theme is different but its a great character study. Moll Flanders, from the 18th century is one of the most adventurist, in depth character studies I’ve ever read. Hope that helps.

i might like to work out a comparative piece on “existence of Pi” and “The Catcher interior the Rye”. in case you think of approximately it, “Catcher” additionally specializes interior the self-finding of a teenager, is crammed with comments of human nature, and, in case you think approximately being on my own on the streets of manhattan city, has in basic terms a splash a survival factor ๐ heavily however, the two books comment on faith, “Pi” plenty extra so, notwithstanding it particularly is time-venerated in “Catcher” besides. the assumption of salvation is present in the two, as is the hunt to define one’s place interior the international. as far as different books go, there are patently a ton on early existence and the arriving of age concept–“A Separate Peace”, “To Kill a Mockingbird”, “different Voices, different Rooms” by ability of Truman Capote is marvelous, the checklist is going on and on. stable success with that.
