Learning basic German?

I’m wondering what the easiest way would be for me to learn basic german by myself. I’m more or less looking for “study tips”, and for the record flash cards don’t help me actually learn it but are ok if I’m reviewing what I’ve learned. I’ve taken a year of spanish but I had a class and that made things easier – I need help learning it all by myself. Any takers?

you can go on iTunes and search for a podcast that teaches you how to speak german. i have seen a few that teach foreign language and german is included.

i am from germany and my husband just bought this awesome german cd so he could understand my family and i much better..lol…most of the time he doesnt get a chance tor ead it but i looked through that cd and it was very good. let me see if i can find it online. i have no idea what its called…

..well i cant find the one we bought but we bought it at Costco. i dunno if they still have it, but it was also only 20 bucks or something nad its very good. just in case if u dont have a scostco near you…let me give u some websites, and hopefully they can help u with it more than i can.
