They all come from one Latin root verb:

Fero, ferre, tuli, latus

It’s an irregular verb, with many uses: bring, bear, carry, consider, carry off, win, receive, get, and others.

The ‘fer’ words all come from the presnet tense (fer-) and the last one comes from the past participle (LATus), with the various prefixes added.

Conferre–to bring together

relatus, past participle of referre–to bring back

praeferre–to place before

translattus–transferred, used as past participle of transferre
