Im taking surveys on what people think about this question ( for my class project).?

Do you think the government should require all 18-25 year olds, who are in college and receiving any sort of financial aid, EOPS or any other governement money be required to volunteer a minimum of one year to receive the money? Explain your answer?

Depends on their situation. If they are single, unemployed, and living at home w/ parents than I would say that yes they do need to volunteer some hours throughout each semester that they are receiving aide. If they have children, work, etc. than I don’t think they should have to. Just the fact that they are working and showing an interest towards their well-being instead of sponging off of mommy and daddy or just being plain lazy and expecting the government to foot the bill.

No, they should not.

This is money paid by taxes; ergo, they have already done what is required to receive a portion back. Compulsory ‘volunteerism’ isn’t ‘volunteer,’ it’s indentured servitude, i.e, slavery.

yes because giving money to them for free would teach them that they dont need to contribute to society to recieve such benefits. if they do something to earn it then it makes it much more worthwhile because it was something they worked to recieve. it will teach them that even though they need aid, they still have to do something to earn it and that they dont just get it because they signed for it
