I want an easy way to write cornell notes. What is the easiest technique?
Favorite Answer
In the note-taking column, just write notes as you normally would; important or useful points. Bullets are helpful.
In your cue column, write little, more simple notes and if it’s helpful, doodle about your notes. (Draw diagrams or pictures that will help you remember.)
Right after class, write a summary of your notes in the portion for the summary.
During your study/homework time, or right after class if you can, make up questions based off of your notes and put them under your notes in the note-taking column. (Ex: If you took notes about volcanoes, make up a question about them where the answer is in the notes.)
Read aloud your notes, and then say aloud the answers to your questions.
Reflect and meditate on the material, especially on how you can apply what you learned and what you learned may be related to.
Review like this for ten minutes every day or every week.
Hope that this was helpful. 🙂 Cornell notes may be stressful at first, but that’s only because you’re not used to them. In the end, they’re a lot more helpful and a lot less formal, and who doesn’t like to doodle?
