When I think of myths, I think of Native American storytellers. They tell some humdingers and whopping tales. Why do we have lightning storms? Why do we have day and night? Why do we droughts, hurricanes, or some other weather abnormality?

Famine

The crops did not grow this year because of the scorching sun, nor did they grow each year afterwards. People were starving. The God of the Plains must be angry with the people, the village elders thought. A brave warrior by the name of Haiku was sent to make an offering to the God of the Plains. He ran fast like the wind to the meeting place of the Gods and spoke to the God of the Plains…

“Why do you not allow our crops to grow?” he cried…

Do you get the idea?

The legend of the Sacred Chair

built in 500 B.C. by the Aztec empire (or watever) it was used in sacred ceremonies to worship the king. whoever sat in it had ultimate power. today the location of the Sacred Chair is unknown..

It was said to be possessed by the holy spirits who watched over the empire and gave them the sun, earth, fire, and water needed for growing crops and cooking animals.

sorry i no i suck
