I need ideas for being Freshman class president.?

I’m going to be running for class president and I need more ideas on things i can fix or improve at school. Also I need help with like promoting myself and convincing people to vote for me. I want the freshman to have more activities and to be more involved. I like being very original. So any idea no matter how crazy it sounds would be great!

1. I don’t know if 9Th graders will remember this but you know those taco bell commercials with the little Chiwawa? Well make HUGE posters that say “Yo quiero [your name]”

(If you don’t think that works, I think you should go with a pop culture reference)

2. Take pictures of you doing crazy things with you poster VERY visible in the background, print them out and give them to people with cookies or something attached.

3. give one to the quiet kids and call them by name or ask their name

4. put a flyer on the back of every bathroom stall door and above the urinals.

5. make bright t-shirts with your slogan on them and get your friends to wear them on the same day

6. be nice to people and care about them

7. get teachers involved

8. don’t give up no matter how distressing the results are, because the second you do you will lose all the headway that you made.

*just a little extra advice: If you genuinely care about it and and other people, others will be drawn to you and will be more receptive to what you have to say and your ideas

good luck!!

EDIT: at my school no one is spirited but during spirit week, our drumline came out into our lunchroom and played a few cadences and the flagline and danceline did their stuff… after that there was an almost palpable energy in the school and almost everyone went to the game that week and the following weeks.

Well the question is what do you want to do? Why are you running for class president and what do you want to change? But the things that i would do is start placing recycling projects, better and healthier food, weekly activities every Friday nights (like school plays or concerts). As for activities you can provide more clubs and make more money by opening bake sales or end of the school year barbecues.

the big one i’d say is just making more activities for freshman outside of class time. there are so many dances and events for the more senior students. i’d focus on just one or two events you’ll organize so it’s realistic. perhaps a freshman semi-formal dance or some kind of olympics? what we do thats fun is freshmans v. seniors sports games during lunch breaks for a week in the spring.
