Math Are these correct?

Yes, I worked these out on my own, but I need to know If I got them right. I am not good at math but have learned alot through this math class I am taking, so I just need to know If I have understood it and it is right. thank you.

4.Find the LCM for 4 and 6. Answer: 12

4….. 08 [12] 16 18 22

6…… [12] 18 24 30 36

5. Find the GCF for 54, 90, and 144. 54:2,3,3,3; 90: 2,3,3,5; 144: 2,2,2,2,3,3; GCF=2*3*3=18

6.Determine whether the following is an expression.

6 + r = z I say No!

7. Add. 8 + (–20) =8-20= -12

Which label describes the following?

10x – 1 I say Expression

Is –7 a solution to the equation 4 – 2x = 18?

4-2*(-7) =4-14=-10 no

Solve the system by substitution.

3x – y = –7

x + y = –9

3x-y=-7

y=3x+7

x+y=-9

x+ (3x+7)=-9

x+3x+7=-9

4x=-16

x=-4

y=3x+7=3(-4) +7=-12+7=-5

Solution: (-4, -5)

List all the factors of 45. 3, 5,9,15

List all the factors of 101. NONE

Find the LCM for 14 and 42 I say 42 is LCM

This one is not correct

4 – 2(-7) =18

4 + 14 =18

List all the factors of 101. NONE how about 1 and 101?

“Is –7 a solution to the equation 4 – 2x = 18?

This is the only wrong one I could find. I think you just forgot to convert the subtraction/negative signs over.

4-(-14)= 4+14= 18

For the factor ones at the end, you could add 1, 45, 101.

I don’t know if you’re supposed to include those or not, but whatever. They are technically factors. 🙂

Hope this helps.
